    Harry Potter
It's good, go see it. All the plot fits together, definitely an improvement on last time. It looks lovely - holiday in Scotland anyone? It doesn't even feel too long at 2hrs37minutes. It's been a while since I read the book, so nothing lept out as missing, except the Dursley stuff, but I think that evens the tone a bit.
Bits of it were suitably scary and/or sad. I have to say, I'd be a bit unsure about letting smaller kiddies in, down to their parents, I suppose.

Well that's about as long as my reviews are ever going to get, want something a bit more technical? Ask Kirk.

    Woah!
Been a while. I do apologise to anyone who's been reading that last post for months.

Since then I have moved to a flat in Rusholme with Alisdair and Lady Shiva,
    Lady Shiva

been to Bruges for a couple of days, Brittany for a week, passed some retakes, started my third year project, been promoted and watched a fairly ridiculous number of films.

Let's see you beat that Paul.

    And onto more important things.

Serenity. I was lucky enought to get tickets to the preview in Manchester in August. It's brilliant, I can't wait to see it again. I won't say more than that. Well except Gina Torres and Adam Baldwin came to the screening! Very cool.

There. Who says you need to update more than every 4 months.

Actually yelled at somebody on the way home today. I think my usual soundtrack gives me some much needed distance. Left the shuffle at home though.

It's still flashing. Should I take this opportunity to tidy my room and find the code? OR go to bed and hope nobody called the police?

    Rusholme hurts my eyes
Busy couple of days. Friday ran 0900 for revision and exam, 'til 0500 Saturday morning home from an 11 hour shift. Then Saturday (a bit of a lie in!) 1430-2330 Sunday evening incorporating another 11 hour shift and a 7 hour journey home and a nice relaxing afternoon with the family. Monday, much better, still up at 0700 for my Mum's birthday present opening before my Dad and brother had to go to work. Spent most of the rest of the day watching 'People Like Us' and wandering around bookshops. Saw Star Wars agaaaiin in the evening. Up again at 0700 to say bye to everyone and coffee with a friend I haven't seen for ages, which was lovely.
This is where it apparently caught up with me a bit.
Straight off to the station, where I discover I have left all my bank cards at home. No problem, I'm really early for my train, go back home, discover I've left my keys at the train station. Urg. Much running about.
Back in Manchester by 1630, just time to watch Bugs on Imax (not for the creepy crawly squeamish) and start work at 1800.
A Dirty Shame and The Jacket today then a nice evenings card playing. I actually won half of my games! Doesn't happen that often.
Now, early night, 'cause I feel dreadful (you can tell, my dinosaur's gone a funny colour).
I don't have to do anything tomorrow!

    Good day!
Exam went better than it should've. I think I might go out on a limb and say it went ok! Yay!
And my best close yet! Would've been a mere 45minutes late if not for some misleading information that led to a bit of time wasting. So 0420, see if I can get in any earlier tomorrow...

    Star Wars
'Cause what else could be going on now? Exams? What exams?
Wasn't entirely convinced the first time around, but on repeat viewings, I think it improves. First, sit and watch film, then sit and identify all the truly appalling dialogue (Padmé a particular victim), then watch and enjoy!
Still, it must be good for the cinema, it was selling out 5 screens yesterday and overflowing into other films. Working the 2300-0700 was fun, opening box at 0515 in the morning and blitz cleaning the 2 midnight shows, ahh, and the pizza.
Now I just have Friday, Saturday 1700-0300 and a little exam this afternoon.
Also saw Friday Night Lights and Ong Bak yesterday, both of which I enjoyed a lot despite what seemed to be a French (Kirk thought they were French) school trip in FNL running in and out the whole way through, and the style of camerawork got annoying very quickly.
    Right, exams...

    Back to Manchester
After a nice relaxing (mostly) holiday. Spent a week by the sea in Weymouth with my family, so some trips to the cinema ('cause I don't get enough of that here) went to see Miss Congeniality 2, which was entertaining enough, The Incredibles on Kid's Club, and Ray on a Wednesday special. Played a loooot of cards with my sister and cousins and didn't get nearly enough sleep.
Then straight off to Cheltenham to celebrate my Grandad's 80th, met up with a lot of family I haven't seen in a year or so.
Then a day in Stevenage with [info]ednun (It's really not that bad, see accompanying scenic pictures) before heading back to Twickenham, more card playing. Then getting a lift from my parents to Euston, because I'd misread my ticket and missed the Twickenham train. Still, it would've been pretty awkward messing about on the underground with my suitcase and all of Ed's heavy bags. Had a pretty good journey back, arrived 3 minutes early (On a Virgin train too!). Finally got home at about 0010, messed about with the computer a bit and crawled into bed, very tired. Too much travelling I think.
Back into work today, only to discover that they'd been trying to contact me for most of the time I'd been away to tell me I got the cashier job! So today was some intensive training, then I have my first shift by myself on Saturday, hope it's not too busy. Finished quite late today, didn't get home until 0245. I'm back in again tomorrow at 1415. So really must get some sleep.

    Busy, busy
Been a bit of a crazy couple of days. Got in late Friday, slept, got up for Ruddigore, went straight from there to work, got home at 0200ish had dinner, slept, up at 0730 to go to Leeds for the day, back to Manchester at about 1215.

    All good fun though!
Ruddigore was great! Really enjoyed it. Though I'm a bit annoyed at missing curry and drinking afterwards. Especially since I meant to have the whole day off.
Still work was quite fun, got out early and spent most of the last hour or so messing about and reading the 100 chat up lines books we have for the Hitch release. Then ended up waiting for ages for the minibus to arrive (I travelled into Ruddigore with Paul so, no bike). All with the same people though, so good fun.
Got 4 hours sleep in the end, then up and out cycling to the bus station. A sign of how tired I was, managed to forget to chain up the bike! Sooooo glad it was still there when I got back. Also glad, I didn't realise at the time, or I'd've been worrying all day.
As it was, Me and Alisdair now have a set of cutlery (15 pieces anyway, a knife seems to have gone missing) And two sets of bathroom towels. It's all very domestic. Then much dozing in front of the Grand Prix(?), whatever was on in Australia the other day at least. More dozing, sleeping and back to the bus and unchained pedley.
I do apologise, but I'm very tired and it looks funny now.
